Description: 1771 Denmark 1 Skilling Coin – 1 Skilling Danske KM 616.  This copper coin has a weight of 11.7 grams and diameter of 30mm.  The obverse is the monograms of Christian VII and the reverse has the date and value on five lines.  In researching I found that this coin was widely used and that 99% of these found are in poor condition because of this.  If your coin has a pronounced rim and stands out as an extra fine or better, it is a good chance it is a fake and made from bronze instead of the copper.  Thanks for looking!
